Reporting & Writing
My mother always told me and still tells me to this day "I'm so glad I produced at least one writer out of my three kids," and I can see why.

Writing is an art form. It tells stories in its purest form, and it can transform lives.

I had always had a passion for writing, and I enjoyed writing long essays for my middle school English classes, so when I signed up for Journalism I, that was the thing I was most excited about.

In Journalism I, I explored the different styles that writing could take on in journalism. I found a particular love for profile stories. I loved how personal they were. I felt like while I was writing, I was becoming friends with that person.

Over the years, writing stories has become extremely natural to me, but at the same time, I still get that initial excitement that I did some three years ago when I sit down and write.
